So Electro-Harmonix finally got wise and started making reissues of their classic Big Muff circuits. After all, why should boutique builders and DIY guys like myself have all the fun? After restoring the black Sovtek, I decided I would buy the reissue and a ProCo Rat 2 with the proceeds. (Been watching a lot of Does It Doom? on YouTube.)
I changed the knobs, added a nice washer under the stomp switch nut, and threw in my last set of Soviet-Era transistors and diodes. I like the way it sounds even more now with the correct parts in place. Very nice.
